Women Coach in Train

Yesterday, It’s been a long time not to take the train for me since my teaching class was absent due to short semester.

Voila.. I finally experienced women coach in Express Train..

It’s pink and guarded by the officers to make sure that no men allowed. Other than that, It’s basically the same like any other coaches in the train. However, I found my self very comfortable in this coach.

Usually, I won’t get my cellphone out of my bag if I’m in the train. But, now I can take pics and using my cellphone comfortably.

So.. Is it only me or that anyone out there also feel that we tend to be suspicious with men in public places?

I try to analyze why does crime usually associated with men-do-ers.

Rather than find the answers,, It makes me think that usually women always anxious if they are associated with something bad. But,, men don’t? or maybe they are but by statistics their number is lower than women so that their voice are actually not listened. :) What do you think?

Quick Meal

Hello there..

No domestic helper during this holiday makes my cooking mode on!

After baking brownies, yesterday I made my vegeroni spirals pasta with Pesto alla Genovese for lunch. Sounds sophisticated isn’t it? Well, actually it’s really simple and quick.. Pesto alla Genovese is basically basil and garlic sauce. To make this lunch meal, I use ready-to-use pesto alla genovese. You can buy it in any supermarket in Jakarta.

I think I’m in the mood to spill my quick recipe.. :)   Here it comes:

What u need:

1. Vegeroni Spirals pasta –> a type of pasta that shape is spirals and usually colorful. Actually any kind of pasta will do, but I love this type of pasta since it has beautiful appetizing color..

2. Pesto alla Genovese ready to cook (in a jar) –> it’s color is green (because it is from basil)

3. 1 clove of garlic

4. Sausages or any kind of meat

How to:

1. Boil water, after boiled, spill a pinch of salt and vegeroni spirals pasta and boil them again until the pasta is al dente

2. Heat the pan using olive oil, after it is heated, spill the garlic that is already crushed

3. Put the sausages or any kind of meat in the pan

4. Pour the pesto into the pan

5. Pour the cooked pasta into the pan too and fry until the sauce mixes the pasta well

6. Voila.. it’s done and ready to be served

P.S. It’s will be so much fun to be eaten outdoor.. with a glass of coke for lunch.. or a glass of wine for dinner..

Please tell me if you try this at home… I wanna know what do you think.. :)

Thanx.

Holiday and Brownies..

Long Holiday like this time in Jakarta means… a good way to relax… But, since it is a holiday.. baking it’s a good way to go..

My favorite and only thing to bake is brownies.. I am an expert in it, they told me soo.. :)

I get the recipe from Jamie Oliver’s web which is by my judgment is the simplest way for beginner to actually cook. Yet, the result is damn good.   Well.. my advice would be that practice makes perfect. Coz this cake doesn’t happened in one time trial. But, since the first time I tried, the taste is really.. I mean really really good…

Well, as you can see on the right side of the pic., he is my lovely nephew.. He ate a lot of my brownies until his teeth all covered with choco.. hihi nice to see it anyway.. (just wanna brag how people really like my brownies) :)

For all of you bakers and wanna be bakers.. try this at home…

Driving on Sunday Morning

It was on Sunday Morning, a week before Eid Celebration.. Just took my Sunday service on my church in Kwitang and instead of taking the usual road back home which is Cikini-Rawamangun, I took Cikini-Menteng-Kuningan-Casablanca path.  It was a good drive. I noticed the peaceful feel along the driving time. I’ve never noticed before, that driving in Jakarta can be so much fun.

In the middle of enjoying my driving, I noticed a great quick getaway in town. It happens to be Taman Suropati, Menteng. In the center of this crowded city, although not big enough like Central Park New York, this petite garden can give an oasis feel in it’s city. It is peaceful, green, not crowded bushes, and in a great area.

How I love Jakarta…

Even though the traffic isn’t going to be like this every time..

Then,, should do the sunday-morning-driving more often..

Bird Sing

After Break-Fasting with my office friends in Plaza Indonesia… I’m walking alone in that mall waiting to be picked-up by my boyfriend.. I enjoy walking alone ‘coz then, I can look things into details..

One of my interesting places in PI is a small open gallery next to Kitchenette.. I always find interesting piece of arts there.. Like this one.. tittled “Bird Sing” by Rudy ST. Darma..

Sorry if the image isn’t complementing the painting.. I used my cell to take it anyway..

I don’t know art.. But,, looking at this painting really moves me..

I can feel the birds sing by looking it.. Also..Love the color composition..

This is one thing I love about Jakarta.. anything into it can move people…
